Season Pass: This is for any adults attending the festival and will allow you into EVERY SESSION at the festival - it's unlimited. You can purchase this in advance or at the competition, It is worth the money if your child will be in more than 5 sessions or you want to watch other students as a single entry per session is $12 on the day. Only one person may enter on the pass though!
OPEN OR NOVICE?
Any Competitor placed 1st or 2nd or 3rd in any competition in the past 3 years (from May 2nd, 2020 until May 1st 2023) must dance in OPEN section. If your child placed before 2nd May 2019 but has NOT placed since then then you are able to register them back into the NOVICE section for that genre. Please see Warragul competition rules below for more details.
We've had a few questions about which category to enter dancers for Warragul as at this stage we don't know if they will place 1st, 2nd or 3rd at Phoenix. The recommendation is that it is the status of the dancer when entries opened for Warragul, therefore we DON'T need to take Phoenix into consideration for this.
Still have questions?
As you can imagine Miss Jo and the teachers are all very busy at the moment preparing everything for Phoenix comp. We ask that you please refrain from messaging with quick questions as it does take a lot of time to respond. If you still have any questions after reading through the above, please feel free to ask Tracey Mottershead, Becci Stalker or Danni Chatfield who are our JOKSOD representatives for the festival.
