Classes are conducted professionally by well trained teachers in Classical Ballet, Pre-School dance, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Tap, Acro and Pilates strength and conditioning. Our teachers are educated and have an understanding of physical, cognitive, social and emotional skills which compliment the stages of each child's development.
We also offer the opportunity for dancers to complete Cecchetti Ballet examinations and to compete in Eistedfodd competitions throughout the year either within a troupe or solo dances. Our annual concert is a highlight in the calendar for the dancers to showcase everything they’ve learned throughout the year.
At JOKSOD, we’re one big family that work together and support each other through all the experiences, the highs and the lows. The older students will often become helpers for the younger classes as student teachers and role models. Our junior students are so inspired by our seniors.
Many of our dancers stay with us from a young age and we make sure we nurture and develop technical excellence to produce passionate, versatile and respectful dancers who take these attributes into everyday life or a professional career in the dance industry.
Our teachers are committed to complying with the Victorian Government child safety standards and all our staff complete yearly professional development to keep up to date with current knowledge. All teachers and staff are fully vaccinated for COVID-19, have working with children checks and up to date first aid training.
