JOKSOD CONCERT 2022 | WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Welcome JOKSOD families and dancers to our Concert Information page for 2022.

Everything you need to know about our concert will be updated on this page and so we recommend you keep checking back as much as you can.

CONCERT WEEKEND IMPORTANT REMINDERS

HEADPIECES: All headpieces and accessories that are not with costumes will be in boxes on the table in the backstage kitchen. It is each dancers responsibility to pick up ALL item headpieces before the start of the show when organising costumes. ALL students MUST return all headpieces at the end of each concert to the designated boxes. We do not want 10,000000 messages on Sunday searching for missing items.

BE ORGANISED WITH YOUR COSTUMES: We have helpers for the younger students but our seniors need to ensure they are organised with their own costumes and know what order everything goes in.

CHECKLIST: Ensure you have EVERYTHING in our checklist below as well as all costume items for ALL numbers. It is your responsibility to keep check of all your costume items and do not leave ANYTHING at the theatre.

SMALL PROPS: There will be a table situated side stage with all small props. It is every dancers responsibility to make sure all your props are their and waiting for you before the show. Please return all small props to this exact table!

QUICK CHANGES: There are many quick changes. All dancers are responsible to have someone lined up in advance to help with all quick changes. The extremely quick changes should be done behind stage or in some cases side stage. The key is planning and organisation. I will have a post on our Joanne O'Kelly Dancers Facebook page regarding quick changes. Please comment on the post of you have a very quick change and need some advise.

I have put Miss Tina in charge of quick changes however she cannot change everyone personally. Comment on the post to make sure we have thought of all quick changes. We will organise some help if you can not find your own.

ARRIVAL TIMES: Juniors - Seniors may arrive from10.30am on Saturday and 5.10pm on Sunday. Make sure you organise costumes and collect your headpieces, check small props upon arrival.

WARM UPS: We ask that ALL students please take your warm up seriously, we know everyone will be excited. ALL students must do their full ballet barre, conditioning and stretching!!!!!!  PROPERLY!!!!!

COMMUNICATION: During the concert if we need to communicate with families it will be via the Joanne O'Kelly Dancers Facebook Group. Please keep checking this regularly for any updates throughout the festival.

ARRIVE READY: Arrive at the theatre with ALL hair and make-up COMPLETE for your first item including eyelashes!

UNDERWEAR: Please make sure you have the appropriate underwear for your costumes. Nude undies or no undies are best. Bra straps should be clear and hidden.
