Claire Campbell - Mahon

Claire Campbell (Mahon) is a Graduate of the Australian Ballet School and danced an array of Soloist and Principal roles professionally with Scottish Ballet (under the Direction of Galina Samsova) for over 10 years. Most notable roles include Lead Lady (‘Rapture’, Lila York), Princess Florine (‘Sleeping Beauty’, Samsova/Petipa), Tinkerbell (‘Peter Pan’, Lustig), Pas de Trois (‘Swan Lake’, Samsova/Petipa), Walspurgisnacht Divertisement (restaged by Samsova), Belong Pas de Deux (Norbert Vesak), White Swan Pas de Deux, Nutcracker Grand Pas, Fairy Doll Divertisement, Monotones (Ashton) and many more.

Since retirement, she has worked as a freelance classical ballet teacher/lecturer, choreographer, examiner and adjudicator for various highly regarded institutions in the UK and Australia for 16 years. Former students have continued their training in esteemed schools such as the Australian Ballet School, Royal Ballet School, English National Ballet School, Dutch National Ballet Academy, John Cranko School of Ballet and Zurich Ballet Academy. Many students have gone on to dance with companies throughout the world, such as the Australian Ballet, Queensland Ballet, ABT, Munich Ballet, New Zealand Ballet and Manila Ballet.

Claire has also prepared and coached students along their dance journeys with acceptance into the prestigious Prix de Lausanne. She has also coached and choreographed for many students that have been finalists and/or placed in the Alana Haines Awards (NZ), the Sydney Eisteddfod Ballet Scholarship, AICD International Scholarships, Ballet Teachers’ Workshop (Vic) and the Asian Grand Prix.

Claire also holds a BA, a Diploma in Elite Dance and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
