PHOENIX FESTIVAL OF DANCE 2022 WRAP UP

We had such a fantastic week at Phoenix Festival, our first competition for 2022. All the students have been so wonderful and worked so hard in preparation for this event. Planning for this started in January and there were countless of hours of behind the scenes preparation in the lead up.

Our teachers have truly gone the extra mile in their commitment to the rehearsals, choreography and support of all the dancers. Through months of challenges with COVID and flu keeping many dancers’ home and missing rehearsals, they still managed to pull everything together! An incredible achievement so thank you so much, Lucy, Kristina, Amy, Jess and Georgia!

We also had such a fabulous team of parent helpers who have been instrumental in supporting the community in preparation and during the whole week of dancing. A special thank you to our costume ladies, Sharon and Fiona and also a big thank you to Leonie, Anne Marie, Deb, Mel, Kimberley, Becci, Janis and Ava.

Our JOKSOD community and families are so special, thank you to all the parents who have committed to the dance school and brought your children along to every rehearsal and costume fitting and regular class over the last two terms. The standard of our dancers on that stage really shone from the commitment you gave to them for their dance training.

We are so lucky to have such a beautiful culture within our community, with so much support and love for one another. It has been so heart-warming to witness this over the last week, with past students coming back to help and support alongside all the JOKSOD dancers supporting each other. This is what we are most proud of!

And finally, our dancers who were all absolutely sensational on the stage during Phioenix Festival. Your smiles, your technique, your stunning performances were quite rightly recognised and awarded throughout the event. We are delighted to announce all of the awards achieved by our students below which included:
