Enrico Cecchetti Medal Test Awards 2022

Earlier this year some of our dancers presented for the Enrico Cecchetti Victorian Medal Test auditions, on 3rd April. At this audition the students perform an open class based on the medal level they can present for.

  • Rose Medal (Pre-Junior section)
    • Under 13 years of age with a Grade 4 exam certificate
  • Bronze Medal (Junior section)
    • Under 13 years of age with a Grade 5 or 6 exam certificate
  • Silver Medal (Intermediate section)
    • Under 15 years of age with a Grade 5 exam certificate or higher
  • Gold Medal (Senior section)
    • Under 18 years of age with an Intermediate exam certificate or higher

The event was adjudicated by the wonderful Marilyn Rowe, who chose a small number of dancers to perform in the State Finals in August this year. We were delighted to announce the following students who were selected to perform:

  • Rose Medal - Ava Scott, Ava Del Rosario and Adele Vokes
  • Bronze Medal - Maisie O'Toole and Lucie Doody
  • Silver Medal - Ashlea Rush and Sam McSweeney

From the initial event, our students worked so hard to prepare for the finals which involves showcasing the Cecchetti grade level class they are working towards. This event was held at VCASS (Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School) on Sunday 14th August.

All our students were absolutely beautiful and we could not be more proud of the dedication and commitment they demonstrated. It was such a beautiful day of dancing at an extremely high standard.

We are so excited to announce that the adjudicator Miss Marilyn Jones OBE awarded:

Ava Del Rosario - WINNER of the Lorraine Blackbourn Rose Medal

Ava S - H.M in the Lorraine Blackbourn Rose Medal

Sam Mc - H.M in the Silver Medal

Thank you to Cecchetti Ballet Victoria and everyone involved for organising this very special event.

Thank you to our teachers for your wonderful coaching leading up to this event! Thank you to Miss Lucy for all her support in preparing the students and all the families who came along to support our dancers.

Well done to all our beautiful dancers who were involved in this event - We are so proud of all JOKSOD!
