A Dream Realised: Our Studio Extension is Complete

Some dreams take time — a long time.

For us, this one has been more than five years in the making. Five years of planning, hoping, designing, revising, and at times, starting again. There have been hurdles, setbacks, delays, and plenty of moments where we truly wondered if it would ever be possible.

But through every challenge, we held onto the vision: a space where dancers could continue to grow, create, and shine.

And today, we are incredibly proud, and deeply grateful, to say that our new studio extension is complete. (Just a few final touches to go.)

Building a Dream

This project has been a journey filled with heart, patience, sacrifice, and, yes, more than a little bit of blood, sweat, and tears. What began as a distant goal has slowly taken shape into something tangible — a beautiful new space designed for creativity, training, and inspiration.

It’s not just about walls, mirrors, or floors. It’s about creating a home where dancers can dream bigger, push further, and feel supported every step of the way.

We are now so excited to have expanded our JOKSOD offering and studio space to include:

• 5 dedicated studio spaces
  • Our two original studios
  • An additional downstairs LIFT studio
  • A Pilates/PBT studio
  • Our upstairs ACHIEVE large studio
• A refurbished and extended kitchen facility
• New dressing rooms for our dancers
• Additional storage for our costumes
• A separated area at the back, including
  • 2 x consulting rooms for hire for Allied Health support professionals 
  • A seperate kitchenette space
  • An additional entrance way at the back of the building

Our Deepest Thanks

There are so many people who have played a part in bringing this dream to life, but one person in particular deserves a very special mention: Lee Atkinson of Tombay Constructions.

From the very beginning, Lee believed in what we were trying to create. When things seemed impossible, he found another way. When we hit roadblocks, he found solutions. His dedication, craftsmanship, patience, and unwavering belief in this vision made all the difference.

There were countless moments when we thought we might have to stop, times when we were told something couldn’t be done, but Lee never gave up. Thanks to his incredible work and determination, this space now stands as a testament to what can happen when passion meets perseverance.

We hope it becomes a home, a place filled with laughter, courage, creativity, and connection. A place where young dancers find not only their technique, but their strength, confidence, and voice.
